We also have a similar house/alter look a like head dress for our wedding traditions. Lol, it's not the most attractive way of dressing for your wedding, but there's a story behind it as well. BTW, the picture looks fine to me.

I'm from the Yao Minority group and the head dress that she's wearing might be from their traditional wedding apparel. Though, I could be wrong...I don't know what branch or dialect of the Yao she's from...it could be totally different.
