Her hands look big because she has used them a lot. Some women care only about 'beauty' and not chipping their nail polish. To me that seems idle and not beautiful at all. This woman looks like she has REALLY lived.

I think Tibetan people have a raw and natural beauty that many other cultures have left behind for a more plastic, processed look. Tibetans still work hard and live close to the earth. There is a certain life-light that shines through them because of a life of simplicity & joy.
